Never been much for jacuzzis but it was great to take a bath in one after walking non-stop all day. The special bed was a marvel. An oasis of calm in the centre of the city, right at the heart of the vibrant entertainment quarter with easy access to Manchesters fanstastic shopping opportunities, transport links, culture and Manchesters famous football clubs. In Victorian times, the building was a former silk warehouse and was converted to a hotel in 1982.
A Multi Million Pound Refurbishment programme started in December 2009 and will be completed August 2010. The hotel will then strive to become a four star Boutique Hotel. Bar facilities will be table service drinks for a short period of time. Disruption to guests will be be kept to a minimum.
The State of Art Conference Centre Conference was launched late 2007 and boasts 8 meeting rooms all featuring plasma screens and the latest in presentation, conference equipment, Air Conditioning and Free WiFi.
For the energetic, we also offer discounted access to GL14, a contemporary styled health club within walking distance of the hotel and providing a wide range of facilities and services including beauty treatments. All this right in the heart of Manchester.
