“This is a wonderful city with plenty to see and I would recommend late September after the tourist influx has peaked. We stayed 3 nights at Husa Barcelona and would have happily stayed longer as this was a great location. We were very fortunate to see the Plaza Catalunya. We self catered after the first day which was great as we found this to be a much better alternative to searching for a café or restaurant that wasn’t overpriced or overcrowded. The staff is very helpful. And make sure you get out to the local shops for food and wine. Apart from walking, vaparettos are a terrific way to go around although not if you want to see lights at night. There are limited places where you can see lights at night and the suitable spaces in vaporettos seem taken early.”
