Randall Glen is an intimate luxury resort in the mountains of Asheville North Carolina. Our 80 acres of wildflowers; creeks and forest occupy a mountainside above the historic community of Big Sandy Mush. This picture postcard valley is still farmed by original settler families and has no commercial development at all. Our mountaintop is at an elevation of 3600 ft; giving us wonderfully cool summer air and great snow in the winter. We are so high that sometimes we are actually surrounded by clouds. We adjoin thousands of acres of pristine wilderness; yet we are close to Asheville and Biltmore and central to rafting; skiing and attractions. We have seven mountainside log cabins; newly built and with magnificent mountain views. Each cabin has a cathedral living room with fireplace; fully equipped chefs kitchen; spacious dining area; queen bedrooms and twin loft; rocking chair front porch; and huge screened porch with stereo hot tub; grill; and outdoor dining table. Amenities include premium linens; featherbeds; heated towels; leather sofas; paper goods and firewood; central heat and AC;washer/dryer;dishwasher;telephone with unlimited LD; satellite TV/DVD/VCR with extra bedroom TV;wireless internet. Onsite activities include horseback riding and hayrides; gem mining;fishing;hiking and biking trails;bonfires; 3 acre games lawn with outdoor games and sledding hill;game room with billiards; ping pong; Foosball and air hockey; sliding rock swimming hole;full Fitness Center;gift shop and general store;entertainment library;espresso bar and living history at our historic settlers log cabin. Our interactive farm has friendly farm animals and provides fresh produce;eggs and dairy products. You might experience horsedrawn plowing; milking; sheep shearing; horseshoeing; or bottle feeding baby lambs and goats. There are simple pleasures like blackberrying; creek wading; picking armloads of wildflowers; chasing fireflies; and gazing at more stars than you have ever seen.
