“Donovan House is incredible. When you entered in this amazing place, you feel like 50 years in former time. Everywhere you fill find details like vases, lamps, rocking chairs, tables, pendulum clocks, toys, even the radios from 1960. All these master pieces are completed with the most modern technologies like notebook in room, internet access, dvd with LCD Tv and many other amenities. I was born in early 70´s, but I have to admire this small perfect place, made with attention of details and perfectly matched in beautiful museum of 50´s, 60´s and 70´s. The location was also great, up on the hill, close to American Symphony Orchestra and White House. Staff was helpful and well informed about the design. Highly recommend this quiet place.”

Since the completion of an extensive multi-million dollar renovation in December 1999, that included remodeling and refurnishing of 212 guest rooms, two meeting rooms, Filibusters Restaurant, lobby space, indoor garage, and the exterior of the building, the Holiday Inn-Downtown DC is one of Washington's premier hotels. All guest rooms feature two telephone lines, voice mail, data ports and high speed wireless internet access.
