“When we travel we usually base our hotels on the location and try to pick out the nicest one (but also affordable). This was both, and you couldn't beat the location. We did go in January which was probably why we got a good deal on the room. The location is what makes the hotel, i mean it is 30 seconds away from Buckingham Palace is as good as it gets.However, there were a lot of little things that made this hotel slightly stand out from the other same star establishments. The lady at the reception saw us arriving and went out to greet us and take our luggage which was a very nice touch. The free maps, postcards and newspapers also give the hotel some points. We have learned to look at the little gestures the hotel does to make the patrons feel more appreciated.The room was huge. The view was to the courtyard of the hotel but we hardly spent any time there so it didn't really matter to us. It was very clean and cleaned every day. Quite bizarrely they would tidy up again after we left for the evening (we would come back in the afternoon for a power nap and leave again). That never happened before but it was a nice touch. The safe is free, they just ask for a deposit.The breakfast was very nice, simple but it had a bit of everything. The lady who was the lady in charge was very sweet and attentive to everyone who was there.I don’t think i can fault the hotel at all. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and pointed us to places that were actually very interesting and gave good restaurant tips. We would defiantly stay there again!!!”
