“This hotel is picturesque from the outside, which we loved. We stay away from big, tourist centric hotels, and this one was perfectly situated between City Center and Las Ramblas. The hotel was very clean and comforable, however our room was on the first floor, directly and I mean directly next to the breakfast area with a wall size window looking out onto the breakfast terrace. It wasn't noisy, just awkward.”

Hotel 1898 is differ from other by its perfect location, staying here you can explore fashionable region of the city. Hotel 1898 is a 4-star hotel. It was opened in November 2005 and decorated by famous Spanish designer. Hotel 1898 is named after the year in which the last Spanish colonies – Cuba and the Philippines – gained independence. It has a gym, outdoor pool with solarium, spa, dry sauna, steam bath, therapeutic showers, massage and treatment cabins, indoor pool with a massage bench using micro-bubbles and water beds. Hotel guests may enjoy panoramic city views from the rooftop pool. The property features two libraries and a business centre with 7 restored colonial lounges suitable to host meetings and private lunches, and 5 meeting lounges with audiovisual equipment and a possibility to rent additional services such as interpreting, translation and coffee breaks for up till 300 people. The building itself is air-conditioned. Besides we offer the following standard services, namely: 24-hour reception, hotel safe, cloakroom, lift and safe, car park or garage facilities (for additional fees), room and laundry services.
