Stylish decorated Villa Aurora has exciting atmosphere and the best service. HOTEL VILLA AURORA. Once was a theatre entertaining the local British aristocracy built in the 1860 by Sir W.B. Spence. At the end of 1800s, the theatre was transformed into a splendid villa where some of the most important figures of the European aristocracy of the time spent unforgettable days. Guest to have sojourned here include: Queen Victoria of Britain, Empress of India, the Queens of Holland and the King Leopold of Belgium and Queen Margherita of Savoy of the Kingdom of Italy, amongst others. The breathtaking views enjoyed from the terraces of HOTEL VILLA AURORA and which extend over Florence and the Arno Valley inspired painters, poets and musicians including Gabriele DAnnunzio and Giosue Carducci. Still today, this prestigious past is alive, and although the hotel has been internally renovated and enhanced with every modern comfort, HOTEL VILLA AURORA continues to offer its guests that same welcoming but refined atmosphere for which it became famous. Today in Villa Aurora there are 24 rooms, standard and royal or suites, these last with the most magnificent view over Florence. All, with air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, minibar, safe and some of them with Jacuzzi. The Restaurant, furnished with a veranda and a wide summer terrace, perfect place for a working lunch or banquet, offers elegant dining, with breathtaking views of Florence. The town, with its wealth of archaeological finds from its ancient Etruscan and then Roman past, lies in the luxuriant hills which dominate Florence, one of the Italian most important cities for the art and the dolce vita. There, you can find a lot of historical and artistic attractions, like the archaeological park, with Etruscan, Roman and Longobard ruins in three hectares of splendid landscape of Tuscan hills; or its fascinating churches, like San Romolo Cathedral, with a characteristic middle age belfry tower that stands out in the main square dedicated to the local artist Mino da Fiesole, or the Bishops and the Municipal Palace, evidences of an ancient splendour.
