“The first things that hit you when you first arrive and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and how successfully the building had been refurbished with the modern facilities while retaining the original old style. The rooms are large by European standards (especially for the relatively lost cost) and intelligently laid out. Our room was very quiet, though the beds were a little hard. The staff were always helpful with genuinely useful suggestions on where to eat, stay and visit. No sign of the usual over-touristed Bangkok jadedness. The location is perfect, close to Soi Cowboy and easy walk to everything.”
