“Very friendly, nice, clean room, garage parking available a few hundred yards away. Very convenient for opera as hotel is in street next to San Marco Museum. Very pretty location too. Good breakfast. Central, so roads one-way and twisting. Make sure you follow directions supplied by hotel and with city map. Then you will find it. Like most historic centres, it is a labyrinth, but all the more attractive for it.”

Il Granduca has been rebuilt and now it has modern and comfortable new furniture and wonderful atmosphere. Located in a residential part of Florence, this hotel has remained one of the most prestigious addresses for artists and intellectuals since the early 19th century. Nowadays the property epitomizes an intricate synthesis of the past dating to glorious epoch of Pietro Leopoldo Grand Duke of Tuscany and up-to-date comforts. The hotel is literally buried in the verdure of a lovely garden offering relaxing atmosphere for the guests. A parking lot and a garage are available for a special fee. Excellent, central location for city's touring and it is nice to walk along its wonderful surroundings.
